Everything you need to know about travelling to Bali

We can’t wait to welcome you back to the beautiful east coast of Bali.

Visa on arrival and quarantine-free travel is back for fully vaccinated travellers!

HOTEL KOMUNE (PT Keramas Surfing Park) is a registered CHSE hotel, and guests can stay with us immediately on arrival in Bali.

Here’s how to get back to Bali.

1. You’ll need proof of COVID-19 vaccination

Fully vaccinated Australians travelling to Bali should obtain their International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate.

If you are not fully vaccinated, you can still travel to Bali, however, you will be required to quarantine. You can also travel to Bali if you have a medical statement letter that exempts you from vaccination.

You can find more information here.

2. You no longer require a PCR test to travel to Bali, However, you are required to enter the temperature check-point upon arrival

If you are showing increased temperatures or COVID-related symptoms, you may be required to undertake a PCR test and go directly to your accommodation to await the results.

You can find more information here.

3. Download the PeduliLindungi App

Like most places around the world, you’ll need this app to help monitor and stop the spread of COVID-19 in Bali.

Some airlines will check that you have the app installed, however, the registration of the International e-HAC (Indonesian electronic health alert card) is no longer necessary anymore (due to in-app issues).

You can find out more about how the app works and its purpose here.

4. Get Medical Travel Insurance to cover COVID-related costs before your departure to Bali

Before choosing travel insurance, you should check that it is accepted by the Indonesian officials.

5. You will need to complete a customs declaration form

You can do so electronically, via the Electronic Custom Declaration Form.  Alternatively, you can also fill in the paper form at the airport.

6. Visa on Arrival (VOA) for Tourism through Immigration control at the airport approx AUD50

For Australian travellers, you can simply purchase your Visa on arrival for approximately AUD$50.

For all other travellers outside of Australia, we recommend you check your Visa requirements here.
